Mein O2 is an advanced and high quality mobile phone application that you can download for free. The company claims that this software is so well designed that it offers more than a hundred different settings, which include everything from your personal information to your Google search history, so that you can control the privacy of your mobile phone according to your needs. The first time that I used Mein O2, I really liked the way that everything worked. Everything was so smooth and user friendly that even people who were not really into designing software would have an easy time figuring out how to get things going.
However, I was a little disappointed with the software. There were many things about the application that made me think that it would be very difficult for me to figure out how to set things up. The fact that the software comes as a free download also turned me off. Because the software is free, Mein O2 is also quite basic. In fact, after using the phone for just over a week, I could not figure out how to add any new contacts, or how to import any files from my Gmail or Facebook accounts.
When you download Mein O2, there are many preloaded widgets such as a weather widget, a calculator, and a currency converter that come along with the software. However, these widgets do not work very well on the Mein O2's small screen. That is when I started to question whether or not the company really cares about making the most out of something like their free mobile phone software. Since the software costs nothing to download and use, I can only conclude that the makers of Mein O2 really do not consider this part of their business serious.
